Our Calling to Help Children & Families:
By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
L.O.V.E.'s mission is focused on four areas of commitment:
1. Helping children escape the circle of poverty.
Support includes:
a. Scholarships:We are committed to keeping poor children in school by providing scholarships that pay for school fees, school uniforms, and school books.
b. Child sponsorships: In addition to a scholarship, funding provides additional funds for extra classes, medical insurance, dental care, school supplies, nutrition, clothing, and other needs. It also allows you to build a relationship with a child and family, become an extension of their family, and be an encourager and close friend. You will follow the progress of the child and be able to communicate your and/or God’s love for the child.
d. Family or "Child+" Sponsorship:In addition to the above, this sponsorship program nearly doubles funding for education, helping other children in a family. It also allows you to build a relationship with a child and family, become an extension of their family, and be an encourager and close friend. You will follow the progress of the child and be able to communicate God’s love for the child.
e. Other:In addition to above, sponsors often provide bikes; gifts for birthdays, Christmas and Tet; house repairs, or even a new house.
2. Other Mission Groups:
We are committed to contacting, encouraging, and inviting medical and dental teams, church groups, short-term mission teams, and other groups to come to Vietnam and assist in helping the poor and needy here. Contact our President for more information.
3. Disaster Relief / Emergency Help
As funds allow, we provide emergency aid, repair/rebuild homes, etc.
4. Encouraging the people...
. . . by demonstrating the love of the Lord Jesus Christ, by offering hope to the people, by helping them to become a blessing to the country of Vietnam instead of a liability, and by inviting them to church.
