LOVE’s Summer Camp 2010

Summer break is students’ time for relaxation after a school year with lots of lessons and homework. This year, we would like to offer them an opportunity to meet other sponsored friends who, more or less, have the same situation as they do, to make more new friends, and it is also a chance for us, staff and children, to know more about one another. In that spirit, we plan to have a summer camp for about 220 children of our sponsored children on May 29 at Ha My beach, Hoi An, Quang Nam. They will have time to play some small games, time for their hidden creativity and talents to be exposed, and of course, time for swimming. Each child will be given a T-shirt as a souvenir of LOVE’s summer camp 2010, and we will also give them a book bag filled with their textbooks and supplies at the end of that day. We hope the children will have a great time and enjoy the camp. This is the very first time we have held a camp, so we will highly appreciate any kind of support, material or spiritual from all of you. Please pray hard for us and for the camp. Expenses for the camp including 4 buses, printed t-shirts, printed book bags, camp rental, and meals is around $2,000. Another $2,000 for text books normally comes out of their sponsored or scholarship fund. Thank you!

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $25 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

LOVE was blessed to have 6 university students serve as interns the past 2 1/2 months. Above the present LOVE a basket of fruit and LOVE takes them out for pizza.
