My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Dental Mission

Please pray for the 10 members of the DentAid team from England and the Vietnamese team of dentists, translators and support personnel here in Danang.

We have planned to hold a mission in Hoa Quy on Oct. 17, and Hoa Bac on Oct. 19. Over 200 patients are scheduled at each location here in Danang.

Student life in Vietnam

It can be said that, the life of students in Vietnam nowadays is much better than it used to be. However, students’life has a lot of disadvantages. Most of them have to live far away from home for study. Major of them are grown up in farming families or in minority family, they can’t afford their study as it should be. So they have to spend much time on working outside. That often causes bad effects on the quality of their study. Meanwhile, they are daily facing to many big social problems, adapting to the new environments. Thus, they should be helped and encouraged to have better education so that they can get good jobs in the future.

Helping the young generation means developing a country.

They wish to have better education so they go to Danang City and study at University, College or Junior College. Some of them have intentions to transfer to a higher degree after graduating.

Over 60% of the students we help come from Quang Nam, 30% from Danang and the others from other provinces or ethnic groups. Among these, some of them are living in our Student Houses, which provide a better environment for study, and a family-like atmosphere.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $25 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $25 a month or the whole family for $40 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

LOVE is supporting seven Student Houses at present, including Rachel's House, Ruth's House, Jacob's House, Trung Lap's House, Daniel's House, Naomi's House, and Peter's House. Students will continue to come in October. Each house then should have 6-8 students.

Needs and Problems

On the whole, students have a lot of demands on them, especially for those who live far away from home. For instance: Gas stove, bed, table, computer, computer desk, bookcase, wardrobe, school fees, material, rent, water, electric, etc.

To meet these needs, many of them look for a job during their studies. They want to have some additional income for various college expenses. Part-time jobs help students to get money for books, rent or for personal requirements. However, it takes them rather much time that can influence the quality of their studies. In addition, they have to deal with the lack of a family’s love, and the many temptations and traps around them in life. That’s why LOVE and some donors would like to support them.

Other support

Some of the students joined many different activities in the summer, such as Meaningful Summer (teaching Bible or educating children in remote or ethnic minority areas) taking place in June and July this year, and Bible Summer Camp for two days in Da Lat in August. LOVE and some donors also partly supported them to cover the expenses of their trips. Pictures follow...

The winter monsoons are coming, and we intend to give children and students raincoats as loving gifts in October. We hope they will feel dry, warm and happy during the cold winter. We also print our Logo on the raincoats.

My name is Nguyen Thi Minh Tanh. I am a 2^nd-year student at College of Technology. I had an ear and nasal cavity operation two weeks ago. I live in a big family including 7 siblings. We can’t afford to pay for my treatment and cover our siblings' school fees with such unstable income. I am so thankful to God for His support through donors.
