But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Vietnam’s 2^nd

Vietnam experienced its coldest weather of the year in March with enough snow in the northwest to build a snowman. Here in Danang, the lows have been 15-16^oC. it is rainy and windy. Not very cold to many of you, but consider living in a cave with no heat at this point. Vietnamese homes are cement, not insulated, and airy. Extend this for a couple of weeks, with little sunshine and only clothes and blankets to keep you warm. Go to work on a motor bike and work all day outside or in a cold building.

Now think of the poor, the whole family huddled on a straw mat with one tattered blanket to keep warm. Does 16^oC seem “not so cold” now?

2^nd Annual Summer Camp

We are already planning a day camp for our children in June. This is a time to take the children for an outing to the beach to relax. We wish to spend time with the children and get to know them more as they really are and for them to make new friends. We sing, dance, play, and compete in games and talent shows. Here they also get T-shirts, a pack bag, prizes and more. The cost of the camp is expected to be around $3,500.

In May, they will get school uniforms and text books for next year. The cost for this and school supplies come from the children’s reserve fund.

However, if any of you wish to donate to help with transportation and related cost of the camp it would help a lot. Please pray for the camp, all the children, and staff.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $25 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
