Student houses

Dear supporters, we have just opened our 8^th student house and have an opportunity to open another one later this month. Of the 8 houses, only 6 have sponsors. We are hoping to have profiles up soon. Please pray and agree with us for sponsors for all our houses. You can still sponsor a student house for as little as $80 a month, however, most of our houses now need $100 if all the needs of the house are to be met.

Also needed are 2 computers (about $500 each). One for a student house and one for our office. If there is any individual or group (club, org. etc.) who can help, please contact me by email. Sincerely, Reggie

Below are pictures of some of the homes we visited this month.

The months of August and September are our biggest months to visit. All children fill out a new application and turn in to us the first of August and we make a point to visit every home to reevaluate their status and needs.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

About me: I am in grade 6. My family is really a poor one. There are 6 members in our family. I have an older a brother who is learning in University and one in the 9th grade and school for the three of more than my parents earn. Even though we receive very little help from the local government (this is only 2-3 times a year and totals less than $20-30) because we under the poor program; we still do not have enough daily needs, including food.

LOVE’s note: A family sponsorship or 2 child sponsorships for Them and for Tuong is recommended. This child’s sponsor had to drop him and his brother (the old sponsor chose 2 child sponsorships instead of a family sponsorship because they are so very poor). You can see their house below; the floor is dirt, the sides are vertical boards and the roof is tin.

The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
