Our Operating Principle:
By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:16-18 NKJV)
L.O.V.E.'s programs are focused on four areas of commitment:
1. Street Children Program of Da Nang:
Funding provides food, clothing, elementary and secondary schooling, and vocational training for
children and older youth.
a. Education: Committed to keeping poor children
in school by providing scholarships that pay for school fees, books, school supplies, school uniforms, and sometimes food, clothing, transportation, and other basic needs.
b. Medical: Provides surgery, crutches, braces, artificial limbs, physical therapy and wheelchairs for disabled children, as well as food, medicine, surgery (including heart surgery and follow-up therapy), hospital fees, etc. for ill or injured children.
c. Nutrition: Provides rice to elderly, handicapped, and poor families. Milk or baby formula to malnourished children.
d. Sponsorship: In addition to the above, the child/family sponsorship program doubles funding for education and allows you to build a relationship with a child and family, become an extension of their family, and be an encourager and close friend. You will follow the progress of the child and be able to communicate God’s love for the child.
2. Other Mission Groups:
We are committed to contacting, encouraging, and inviting medical and dental teams, church groups, short-term mission teams, and other groups to come to Vietnam and to assist in helping the poor and needy here. Contact our Director for more information.
3. Disaster Relief / Emergency Help
Provides emergency aid, rebuilds homes, etc.
4. Encouraging the people
. . . by a demonstration of the love of the Lord Jesus Christ, and by offering hope to the people, and by helping them to become a blessing to the country of Vietnam; and by inviting them to church.
